The Embassy of Sri Lanka in Paris is seeking a talented and motivated Translator-Interpreter to join its dynamic team. If you have excellent communication skills in French and English and would like to work in an international environment, this opportunity is for you!

What We offer

  • Fixed-term contract (CDD)
  • Salary: €2,020.00 gross / €1,641.00 net per month.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate and interpret from English into French and from French into English
  • Support the political section of the Embassy
  • Communicate effectively with French authorities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
  • Attend meetings and events, and prepare reports
  • Support H.E. the Ambassador and diplomatic staff in their social and administrative duties
  • Manage email and telephone communications
  • Assist with various administrative tasks of the Embassy

Required profile

  • Native French speaker with excellent English language skills
  • University degree (Master’s degree preferred, but not compulsory)
  • Qualification in interpretation
  • Proficiency in IT tools (Microsoft Office)
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment
  • Proactive, reliable, flexible, team player with excellent interpersonal skills
  • Experience in diplomacy or embassy work (an asset)
  • Legal right to live and work in France (A French Social Security number is required)
