Visa

French, Spanish or Portuguese nationals travelling to Sri Lanka purely for tourism purposes , can obtain landing visa for 30 days at the port of entry in Sri Lanka .

For periods of travel exceeding 30 days, a prior visa is required.

Documents needed:

    * A return air ticket
    * proof of sufficient funds (currency, TCs Credit Card)
    * passport with minimum 3 months' validity
    * duly filled visa application form
    * 02 recent photographs
    * visa fee

Two (02) months extension beyond 30 days shall be granted at the Department of Immigration & Emigration (Head Office) if required.

However further extension shall only be considered with valid reasons. This restriction will not be applicable to Ex-Sri Lankans.

hose who travel to Sri Lanka for purposes other than holiday/tourism should obtain prior visa from the Sri Lanka Embassy in France .
